Two Cars, One House
What is WheelMates?
WheelMates is a two-player co-op puzzle adventure by Firevolt, released on Steam on September 1, 2026 for $19.99 with a free Friend's Pass for the second player. You and a partner drive two tiny RC cars through the house of Professor Everett Bloom, a scientist whose mind is trapped in the wiring, across six levels (Kitchen, Hallway, Garage, Neuro-Void, Shed, Backyard) that keep reopening as you find five gadgets (Grapple, Magnetic Grabber, Magnet Wheels, Phase Shifter, Paintgun). It is strictly two players, online or split-screen, with no solo mode; the story takes about 6 hours and a full run about 8. One day after launch it sat at Mostly Positive on Steam with 21 achievements to chase.

Before Your First Session
Get Rolling in 5 Steps
- Sort out your partner first. Two controllers on one PC for split-screen, or host and share the invite code with the free pass online: co-op setup.
- Play the tutorial properly. Brake on landing, wait for the jump to recharge, honk to count in synced presses: controls.
- Learn the five puzzle shapes. Sync press, paired levers, rider and driver, hold and go, gadget gate; naming them out loud is most of the game: walkthrough.
- Do the Garage before the Neuro-Void keypad. The Magnetic Grabber lives in the Garage and the keypad needs it; the cog puzzle right after it has a known softlock: Garage walkthrough.
- Scan everything and play the mini-games. Five collect-all achievements and a play-all achievement sit at 0.1% to 0.7%: collectibles.

Quick Questions
Is WheelMates out?
Yes. WheelMates released on Steam on September 1, 2026 (moved forward from the original September 7 date). It is PC only for now; PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch versions are planned for the first half of 2027.
How much does WheelMates cost?
$19.99 USD, 15.99 GBP or 19.99 EUR before the 10% launch discount that runs until September 15, 2026. Only one copy is needed for two players thanks to Friend's Pass. The Supporter Pack cosmetic DLC is $4.99.
Can you play WheelMates solo?
No. Firevolt has said WheelMates is strictly two-player with no plans for a solo mode or for more than two players. The Steam thread asking for single-player is the busiest one on the forum, and the answer has not changed.
How This Guide Is Built
WheelMates Guide is an independent, unofficial fan resource for WheelMates players — not affiliated with Firevolt.
- How we verify: Level order and gadget order are derived from the Steam global achievement rates and from full-release footage with timestamps; developer statements are quoted from the Steam announcements and the Firevolt replies in the Steam discussions, each with its date.
- Update cadence: We re-read the Steam discussions, the patch notes and the achievement rates twice a week during launch month and stamp every data page with the date it was last confirmed.
- What we don't do: We do not invent room-by-room maps for levels we have not seen played, we do not score the game ourselves, and we do not link cracked builds, APKs or repacks; there is no mobile version.
